The South Bay does not do the Fourth of July the same way city to city. In 2026, Redondo Beach, San Pedro, Torrance, El Segundo and Marina del Rey put on fireworks, Rancho Palos Verdes ran a drone show, and Manhattan Beach had no evening display.
Check the list below before you drive somewhere for a show.
Where are the 4th of July fireworks in the South Bay?
In 2026: Redondo Beach over King Harbor, San Pedro over Cabrillo Beach, Torrance at the LA Galaxy Sports Complex on Maple Avenue, El Segundo at Recreation Park, and Marina del Rey, viewed from Burton Chace Park, each with fireworks at about 9pm. Rancho Palos Verdes ran a drone show, and Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach had no fireworks show.

Which is the main one?
Redondo Beach, over King Harbor, is the main show in the Beach Cities, with the display over the water and the boats underneath it.
Public viewing is available at Seaside Lagoon. The harbor edge fills, so the practical advice is the same as for the Holiday Boat Parade in December: arrive well before you think you need to, and expect the surrounding streets to be full.
Does Manhattan Beach have fireworks on the Fourth of July?
No. Manhattan Beach does not run an evening display on the Fourth.
What it runs instead is daytime programming, including a pool party at Begg Pool with water games, swimming and music.
If you are in Manhattan Beach on the Fourth and want a display, Redondo Beach and El Segundo are both a short drive, and Redondo is a long walk down the Strand.
What is the Rancho Palos Verdes drone show?
An after-dark drone display in place of fireworks, closing out a city celebration that runs through the evening with live country music, line dancing, food trucks, carnival games, inflatables, and beer and wine.
Drone shows have been replacing fireworks in a number of California cities in recent years. The usual reasons given are fire risk, noise, and effects on wildlife, all of which carry particular weight on a coastal peninsula with open hillside.
A drone show makes far less noise than fireworks.
San Pedro and Cabrillo Beach
A free fireworks display over Cabrillo Beach from around 9pm, with a separate ticketed evening event at the Plaza at Cabrillo Way Marina beforehand.
Cabrillo Beach sits on the harbor side, so it is a sheltered spot to watch from.
Practical notes
- Parking is the constraint. Every one of these fills the streets around it.
- Personal fireworks are illegal in these cities.
- Check the city each year. Formats change, and a city that ran a display last year may not this year.
- Beaches and lots close early on the Fourth in some cities. Confirm before you plan a long day.
- If you live near a venue, expect a hard night for parking and noise, and factor that in before you buy.
