Redondo Beach Unified serves the city from kindergarten through twelfth grade. It has the best address lookup tool of any district in the Beach Cities, and it is not the link the district puts on its boundary page.
Check an address
The locator takes a street address, confirms the location on a map and returns the assigned schools. No login is required.
School of Choice changes what a boundary means here. Redondo Beach residents may request any school in the district on a space-available basis. Students from the home attendance area are seated first, and remaining seats are assigned by lottery rather than first come. Once a student is accepted through School of Choice, that school becomes their permanent home school. A Redondo address tells you where a child is zoned. It does not always tell you where they will attend.
Schools
Elementary: Alta Vista, Beryl Heights, Birney, Jefferson, Lincoln, Madison, Tulita and Washington. The district names these simply as schools rather than elementary schools.
Middle: Adams Middle School and Parras Middle School.
High: Redondo Union High School, with Patricia Dreizler Continuation High School.
Washington houses a Spanish dual immersion program open to incoming kindergarten students through a separate lottery.
Redondo Beach also operates an Area of Choice for certain residents at the high school level. It is a different program from the Hermosa Beach arrangement and applies to Redondo residents only.
Educational Services: (310) 937-1223.

A boundary map shows how a district is drawn today. Boundaries are redrawn, choice and lottery programs move students, and no address guarantees a seat at a particular school. Confirm any specific address with the district before it factors into a purchase.
